Sašo Vollmaier

Sašo Vollmaier is pianist, composer, performer and a voice teacher from Slovenia. He worked in a genre-diversified variety of settings, extending from chamber music ensembles to alternative bands.

He has been associated with the avant-garde music group Laibach since 2007, as a piano and keyboard player as well as an arranger and studio musician. Sašo moves between two worlds, the classical and the industrial, questing for connections between them by synthesizing repetition, minimalism, and a broad dynamic range. He works as a voice teacher & pianist/accompanist mainly in France, Germany, Italy, Brazil, Switzerland, Slovenia.

The new composition will be performed in one continuous movement — a format Vollmaier has developed over the last years. 

In addition to form and musical dramaturgy, he experiments with the electronic aspect within the piano's acoustic sound, suggesting new directions and offering different solutions in his musical expression.
